Thanks for visiting the website of the Arts Taskforce. The taskforce is an independent body and has been set up by the Conservatives to consider arts policy ahead of the next general election.
Our cultural landscape is the envy of the world. Few countries can boast an arts scene as rich as exists in the UK. However, we believe there is scope to inject a new energy and dynamism into all areas of the arts. With this aim we will be looking at a range of areas such as giving, education, structures and intellectual property. Our aim is to produce a serious and thorough report to form the basis of Conservative thinking on these issues.
